Registered Nurse I - Med/Surg
Number of Positions: 8
Premium Travel Locum Assignment
Location: St. Anthony, NL

The primary purpose of this position is to work as an active member of the nursing team to provide a high standard of care to patients of the Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining professional and organizational standards and practice in accordance with the LGH Model of Nursing Clinical Practice and reports to the Clinical Manager.

Qualifications:
" Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with a Nursing Diploma or an approved University with a Bachelor of Nursing;
" Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador;
" Successful completion of NRP, ACLS and TNCC or willingness to complete (within timeframe designated by employer);
" Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR);
" The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.

Duties: (Included but not limited to)
" Organizing, planning, implementing and evaluating the plan of care for assigned clients;
" Participates in the auditing process as required;
" Documents as per professional and organizational standards;
" Administers medication and participates in Medication Reconciliation;
" Participates in quality assurance initiatives as requested/required;
" Practice independently according to professional and organizational standards;
" Acts as a liaison between the client and other healthcare providers;
" Other related duties as required.

Salary:
" NS - 28 of the RNUNL Salary Scales, $33.63 - $41.65 per hour with a premium locum rate of an additional $25/hr. for hours working in the locum position. Locums must agree to work a minimum of fourteen (14) continuous days for this benefit to apply. Other applicable benefits will be paid in accordance with the RNUNL Collective Agreement.

Hours of Work:
" 75 hours biweekly, variable shifts.
" Position is available from December 15, 2022 to June 15, 2023 (If you have availability for any time-period {minimum two-week block} during this time-period, please apply and disclose your availability).
