We are currently seeking the services of a Family Practice Physician to provide periodic locums at the Strait of Belle Isle Health Centre in Flower's Cove, NL. This opportunity is available immediately.

Qualifications:

" To be considered, candidates must be eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador; the criteria for licensure are outlined on the CPSNL website (www.cpsnl.ca)
" Additionally, the successful candidate must satisfy credentialing requirements of Labrador-Grenfell Health.
" Earned Medical Degree
" Work experience is an asset
" A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance
" A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority

Duties: (Included but not limited to)

" The successful candidate will work as a part of a Team of physicians and nurses to provide high quality Primary Health Care services.
" Your primary duties are to provide full scope of practice at the facility.
" The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care. Patient and Worker safety at the Labrador Health Centre is a priority; as such, the successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to partner with all team members by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.
" Coverage of on call commitments, including weekends and holidays.

Salary:

" Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador

Incentives:
* Labrador-Grenfell Health will cover licensing fees and CMPA fees
* Labrador-Grenfell Health will cover costs of travel and meals
* Labrador-Grenfell Health will provide accommodation and local travel (rental or agency vehicle)

Hours of Work:

" 75 hours Bi-weekly
